Major Trauma Wellbeing Group
Psychology wellbeing sessions for patients in the Major Trauma pathway
Experiencing a major injury can have a significant impact on your physical and emotional wellbeing. The Wellbeing Group provides information, strategies, and support for people who have had a major injury. The group is open to everyone who’s had an injury which was classed as a “major trauma” and has come through the North of Scotland Major Trauma pathway.
This will run once a week for 10 weeks. You’re welcome to attend all the sessions or simply “drop in” to those that you are interested in. Details of topics covered in the sessions are as follows (click title to view summary sheet):

Session 2: Coming to terms with your injury
Session 3: Healthy brains: The brain and factors which influence it
Session 4: Managing frustration
Session 5: Fatigue and pain
Session 6: Healthy lifestyles
Session 7: Boosting mood
Session 8: Managing anxiety
Session 9: Mindfulness and relaxation
Session 10: Coping and support
Dates will be confirmed once we receive sufficient interest. The group has the option to run face to face or online depending on demand.
